THE WINNERS RECEIVED THEIR AWARDS IN THE CASE STUDY COMPETITION

19/10/2016 In the 13th Intercollegiate Case Study Competition whereby the university students present their creative ideas and projects relating to the logistics industry, the winners came out! The winners received their awards in the 13th Intercollegiate Case Study Competition organized by the Turkish Logistics Association (LODER) and Mars Logistics and by which the researcher, curious and creative university students convey their ideas and find the opportunity to improve their case analysis skills. The competition that received applications from nearly 750 students and conducted with the participation of 18 students in total in 6 teams took place with the presentations that were made all day long. In the keen competition among the students in 3 categories, the students from the Department of International Trade and Logistics at Gaziantep University were the winner of Category A; the students from the Department of Business Management at Ege University were the winner of Category B; and the students from the Department of Logistics at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Dalaman Vocational School were the winner of Category C. The winning teams received their prize money at the amount of 3 thousand TL presented to them by the academicians in the competition jury, the President of LODER Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tanyaş and the General Manager of Mars Logistics Ali Tulgar. Speaking in the award ceremony, the General Manager of Mars Logistics Ali Tulgar pointed out the requirement for valuable logisticians particularly on the service recipient side; and said; “We developed this project based on an idea together with my valuable scholar Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tanyaş 13 years ago and today, it is a competition adding value to the logistics industry in Turkey. Even participation in this competition is a great attainment and reference for the students participating in this competition. We firstly congratulate our students for their courage and wish that they would continue their efforts that they have shown in this competition up to the end”.
