Mars Logistics, one of Türkiye's leading logistics companies, has taken its people-focused corporate values a step further by publishing its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manifesto.
With a corporate culture that believes diversity creates strength, Mars Logistics aims to create a work environment where everyone has equal opportunities, is heard, and is valued. It strives to be a pioneer of an equitable, fair, and inclusive work culture in the logistics sector.
With its project “Equality Has No Gender,” launched in 2021 and focusing on gender equality, Mars Logistics has broken the mold in the logistics sector by strategically increasing the employment of women throughout the company, including female truck drivers, and conducting awareness campaigns both inside and outside the company. The company has also focused on Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion. To expand and systematize its efforts in this area, the company established a working group and published a manifesto based on a vision that encompasses all dimensions of diversity.
The manifesto emphasizes that employees should have access to development and advancement opportunities regardless of their identity; that gender equality should be supported; that women's participation in leadership positions should be increased and women's representation in the sector should be strengthened; and that different age groups, individuals with disabilities, and individuals with different cultural and social identities should be equally represented and included in decision-making processes, thereby ensuring an accessible working environment for everyone.
Mars Logistics DEI Leader Tuğçe Şahin said in a statement on the subject: “We measure success not only by business results, but also by the inclusive culture we create together. We see diversity as the driving force behind our progress, incorporating different perspectives into our decision-making processes to produce fairer and more innovative solutions. Because we know that there is a place for everyone at Mars Logistics.”
