Mars Logistics Published its “Value to the World” Philosophy with its New Sustainability Report
Mars Logistics, one of Turkey's leading logistics companies, continues its sustainability journey with the philosophy of "worth the world" by publishing the 2022 Sustainability Report covering 2020-2022 data.
Acting with the vision of being a brand that works to make a difference by creating original, innovative and permanent values in order to transfer social awareness to future generations, and maintains its leadership position by constantly growing, Mars Logistics continues its environmental, economic and social sustainability efforts with its newly published Sustainability Report.
Speaking on the subject, Mars Logistics Corporate Development Manager Meltem Çınar stated that they prepared the 2022 Sustainability Report, which covers the data for the years 2020-2022, in accordance with the basic principles recommended in GRI Standards and said: “Our managerial approach and commitments towards social, economic and environmental impacts, In our report, where we shared our performance results and our vision for the future created with our risk and opportunity analyses, we also took into consideration the WEF Stakeholder Capitalism reporting criteria. In addition, the report also shows our performance within the scope of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.”
Stating that they published the Corporate Sustainability Manifesto last year, Çınar said, “With the direction we have determined, we will focus on the future of our company and our industry with our dream of a more livable common future in solidarity, without leaving anyone behind, in order to establish a more fair, egalitarian structure that accepts and covers diversity for a sustainable future.” We are proud to present the steps we have taken and their results to you, our valued stakeholders, with our 2020-2022 Sustainability Report.”
Çınar stated that they were among the pioneers of the sector with the Sustainability Reports they published in the past years and said, “We were proud that the 2012 sustainability report, in which we reported our activities, was the first sustainability report in the Turkish logistics sector in accordance with GRI's global reporting standards. "With our 2013 sustainability report, which we published in order to continue to convey our sustainability efforts and sustainability performance to our stakeholders in the most clear and comprehensive way from the same perspective, we became one of the top 10 companies in Turkey that wrote a report at the GRI A+ level in 2013."
